In Your Community

At Wallis Companies, community involvement extends beyond the walls of our stores. From youth sports programs to national charities, we're committed to helping our neighbors and to giving back to the community.

Where futures take shape

Wallis Companies is an active partner and supporter of Great Circle, which provides innovative and specialized therapy and education programs for children with emotional problems and developmental disabilities. Great Circle offers a wide variety of treatment programs through residential care, foster care and specialized education from campuses in Columbia, Springfield, St. James and St. Louis, Missouri. Great Circle treatment programs create a circle of love and care that carefully breaks through to a child’s heart so the child can establish healthy relationships and create a positive, productive life. They depend on the communities where our children and families live to believe in and support the work they do.

Relay for Life

Wallis Companies has partnered with the American Cancer Society — Relay for Life — in support for many years. Relay For Life® is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives, help those who have been touched by cancer, and empower individuals to fight back against this disease. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team keeps at least one team member on the track at all times.

Relay is much more than a walk around a track. It is a time to remember those lost to cancer and celebrate those who have survived. It is a night for people who have shared the same experience to comfort and console one another. Read more at www.relayforlife.org.
